Not actually me….
My work
Night Works
In the 90s I started making images of empty city streets at night for a project on my photography degree in Sunderland. I was semi-nocturnal at the time, so it made sense. About 8 years ago and now in Bristol with a normal sleeping pattern, I started up the project again and this now makes up the bulk of my personal work.
Portraiture
Portraiture has always been a key part of my photographic practice. All the way back to when I started a photography GCSE over 30 years ago. This started with taking portraits of friends but for about 5 years, it became a part of my job. This helped to hone this skill as I would take at least one to two portraits per week during that time.
The Agency
When the business wanted to build a new website, I was not only tasked with carrying out analysis to document what the business needed the website to do and define the rules for the various sections; I was also tasked with doing the photography for the site.
The Agency Parties
It all started when I brought my camera along for an agency summer party back in 2011. I spent the day and evening taking photographs and drinking. The next morning rather hungover, I edited a set of the best mages, put them onto the network and sent out an email with a link. In this act an agency tradition was set that would last for the next 7 years.
Lyme Regis
For a period between 2010 and 2015, my family unit would go to Lyme Regis for our annual holiday. It was a place that we loved and felt at home. And so during that time, I took a number of seascapes of the cobb and surrounding area.
The Tours
The agency that I worked for did a cycle tour each year, riding from the group HQ in London to our office in Bristol. This was made up of around 40 cyclists and a group of support crew assisting the riders with spares and provisions. Along with these duties, I also documented the two tours that I was part of. This gallery is a number of documentary images from both years.
Instagram Stuff

Instagram for airports
For a period of time, I was spending a lot of time travelling for work. This meant that I was spending a lot of time in airports waiting for planes. I find airports visually fascinating, so I took the opportunity to create a small Instagram based project over the 3-4 months travel between Bristol, Amsterdam and Bratislava

Architectural Instagrams
I love photographing architecture. My photography has leant more in the direction of angles and lines rather than curves. This gallery contains a number of Instagram based architectural images around Bristol.
